ANZAC Day Assembly at Parkerville Primary School

On Wednesday 26 April the staff and students participated in our annual ANZAC Day commemorative assembly.

I would like to extend A BIG thank-you to Jody Allen (Sophie’s mum) who spent weeks researching our ancestors and preparing a display for the ceremony. It was very special to remember those that have served that have a connection to families at Parkerville. The children spoke beautifully about their relatives.

Well done to our councillors for being MCs and Mrs Wyborn for her preparation of the script.

Thank-you to Murray Drover, parent to Jessica, Reece and Shannon and also a current serving officer, for his informative talk on military medals and why they are awarded. It was great to be able to link them to our relatives. Mr Drover has a wealth of knowledge in this area and is more than willing to share that knowledge if you wish to find out about a relative’s medals.
