ANZAC Day

The first week of Term 2 the Kindy children have been learning all about what ANZAC day means to a young child.  We made memorial wreaths, traditional ANZAC biscuits and did observational drawings of poppies (the flower of Remembrance).  We also watched the dawn service whilst eating damper dripping with golden syrup.  One of our parents, Wil (Amelia’s Dad) brought in his service uniforms for us to try on.  We read some stories that taught us that although there are some things we want to forget it is important to remember them.
