National Simultaneous Storytime Day & Tree Planting

On Wednesday 25 May our school participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime Day.  Together as a nation we read “Family Tree” written by Josh Pyke and beautifully illustrated by Ronojoy Ghosh.

“It started with a seed, and that seed was me.

And, over time laughter filled my garden……”

A heartfelt celebration of family, community and the seasons of life to cherish and to share.

To coincide with the reading of this beautiful book, each class planted a Marri Tree (kindly donated by Matthew Hughes MLA) around the school to provide much needed habitat for our endangered black cockatoos that live in the area.
